22 categories with 3+ active records
44 providers
AI inference APIs
Check the model you need, its token or request limit, and when billing begins. A credit balance and a recurring quota work differently.
32 providers
AI infrastructure platforms
Check whether the offer covers compute, hosting, or API calls. Startup grants and self-serve plans have different eligibility rules.
29 providers
AI agent platforms
Agent platforms meter different actions: evaluations, browser sessions, workflow runs, or model calls. Match the offer to the work your agent will perform.
27 providers
AI hosting platforms
Find out whether the free offer covers deployment time or API inference. A startup grant can require an application even when a self-serve tier does not.
24 providers
RAG platforms and APIs
A RAG pipeline can bill for ingestion, storage, retrieval, and generation. Check which of those steps the recorded free offer covers.
20 providers
AI search APIs
Web queries, site indexing, and retrieval are different workloads. Match the free quota to the search endpoint your app will call.
16 providers
AI evaluation tools
Look at the unit behind each offer: test runs, traces, projects, or seats. Retention and team access can limit a free evaluation workflow.
15 providers
LLM observability tools
Trace volume is only one limit. Check how long the provider keeps events and whether your team can access them on the free plan.
13 providers
AI image generation APIs
Image credits may cover only certain models or sizes. Check output rights and overage rules before using a free plan in a product.
13 providers
AI video generation tools
Clip length, watermarks, export rights, and API access can matter more than the headline credit amount. Check each offer against the video you need to make.
13 providers
embedding APIs and databases
Embedding generation and vector storage are separate costs. Check whether a free offer covers the step your application needs.
12 providers
real-time voice AI platforms
A live voice call can use speech, model, and telephony services. Check which costs the free credit covers and how many sessions you can run.
12 providers
speech-to-text APIs
Batch and streaming transcription can have different limits. Check the endpoint, included hours, and concurrent sessions for your workload.
11 providers
document AI APIs
Pages, documents, and credits are different units. Check OCR or extraction support, file limits, and retention for your document type.
8 providers
AI audio APIs
This category includes several audio tasks, including transcription. Check which endpoint the free offer covers before treating it as an audio-generation allowance.
8 providers
prompt engineering tools
Prompt experiments, evaluations, and trace storage may have separate quotas. Check which step of your workflow the free plan covers.
8 providers
text-to-speech APIs
Characters, minutes, and credits measure different things. Check the voice you want, output rights, and billing terms before you choose a TTS API.
7 providers
AI research APIs and tools
Search, crawling, and browser automation are different workloads. Read the allowance for the specific research step you plan to automate.
7 providers
AI translation APIs
Text, document, and video translation may use different allowances. Check language support and whether API access is part of the free offer.
6 providers
AI avatar tools
Free avatar plans can limit video minutes, exports, or commercial use. Check whether the offer includes API access if you need to automate production.
5 providers
multimodal AI APIs
A provider may support images or audio without including them in its free API quota. Confirm the input and output modes before choosing a model.
4 providers
vector databases
Free vector storage is only part of a database offer. Read and write limits, region choices, and backup rules matter once an app has traffic.
What the ranking measures
The score measures the access and evidence behind each provider’s recorded free offer: up to 40 points for recurring or durable access, 20 for an explicit no-credit-card statement, 15 for a quantified allowance, 15 for evidence coverage, and 10 for documented terms. It does not rank model quality, latency, paid pricing, or whether the offer covers the category tag. Every guide links to the source and review dates behind its records. See how the score is calculated.
Limited coverage
These categories have fewer than three active records. We show the available offers without treating them as a ranking.
